The Journey To Relaxation

Hello Everyone,
My journey to relaxation begins with prayer everyday and every night. I'm not a Christian, but I believe in the Christian faith that Jesus is real. I make sure that  every morning I wake up I pray for another day of life that is granted to me. I think without me praying my day get hectic, because prayer eases the mind with a lot of built emotions from life circumstances. Every night, before I go to bed I say the Our Father's Prayer, The Lord is My Shepard, and numerous other prayers for myself,  my family, and individuals I don't know that need prayer so that our lives will be strengthen. I would like to get into going to the park more often like I use to, because walking around and around the lake in the park and seeing the ducks would ease my mind, which it also promote happiness. Great energy is always a warm feeling when you are surrounded by nature. I also, want to try yoga and meditation, because as I've seen and heard it relaxes the mind, calm the body, and promote health and wellness.

  1. Hi Sonya!!!

To me and this is just my opinion you exhibit Christian values. Why do you feel as if you are not a Christian? I love how you wake up and go to bed everyday. Everyday I pray for safety, forgiveness, and peace. Yoga is awesome!! Doesn't it help calm you down? I had to really learn during the meditation piece of yoga to STOP THINKING about the outside world. That moment belonged to ME. Thank you for the words.

  2. Sonya,

I think your relaxation and meditation practices are wonderful. Prayer is very relaxing and also spiritually healing. I love going on walks in the park with my best friend; not only are they good exercise, but I get quality time with someone who understand me, and we help each other become better people. I used to to a short yoga routine every morning, and it was relaxing and energizing at the same time, (it sounds contradictory, I know, but it's true). I wish I still did yoga, and this class has given me a push to get back to it.

  3. Sonya,
I enjoyed reading your post. Meditation and prayer go back thousands of years. I think its a perfect way to start the day. In Psalms 1:2 states that "But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night". It looks like you are very grounded in what you believe. Keep up the good work and have a wonderful week!
